How to update Popularis PRO

Automatic Update

If you have an active license on your website, you can update the plugin on plugin page (if the update is available). Go to your WP Dashboard – Plugins page and update the plugin there.

Updates are only available to customers who have active updates (Lifetime plans or not expired 1 year plans)

In some rare cases is the update not available on your website, even if you have an enabled license (blocked connection to our server, missing server libraries, the update is “fresh”). In this case go to your WP Dashboard – Dashboard – Updates and hit “Check again” link to force the update.

If this tutorial doesn’t help (or you don’t have activated license), you can use a manual update.

Manual Update

Manual Update via WP Dashboard

  1. Download the purchased plugin from download tab on your account on our website (do not unzip!).
  2. Go to Plugins > Add New.
  3. Click on the Upload Plugin button at the top.
  4. Click Choose File, select the downloaded plugin zip file, and then click Install Now.
  5. Replace the old plugin with the new version.

Manual Update via FTP

  1. Download the purchased plugin from download tab on your account on our website.
  2. Unzip the zip file
  3. Depending on your platform, navigate to the plugin directory. This could be through an admin panel or directly via FTP client like FileZilla.
  4. It’s a good idea to backup the existing plugin files in case something goes wrong. You can do this by downloading the existing plugin folder to your local machine.
  5. Go to the plugin directory on your server. For WordPress, this is usually wp-content/plugins/.
  6. Upload the extracted files to the plugin directory and replace the existing files on your server. This can be done through the admin panel’s file manager or via FTP/SFTP.

Tips and Warnings

  • Backup Before Updating: Always backup your site and database before updating plugins, especially if you are deleting the old version.
  • Check Compatibility: Ensure that the updated plugin version is compatible with your platform’s current version.
  • Test After Updating: After updating, test the plugin to make sure it’s functioning correctly with your site.
